Hokule'a and Hikianalia Powhiri

“E Oho Ra e" Sorry about that I was just practicing my waiata For the Hokule'a for when they come. On Wednesday morning Pt England and the other Manaiakalani schools gathered on Pt England beach and you can’t even imagine how many people were there. When all of the Manaiakalani schools got to the beach we did have a talk with our friends but then we saw the hikianalia waka coming then we all went silent. I felt so excited because this is my first time seeing the Hokule'a and Hikianalia Wakas. We welcomed them with a Powhiri then they welcomed us back with a Powhiri. At the end each of us got to high five each of them and saying "Aloha".  

Camp recount

Walt: organise my ideas into paragraphs and link them together. Intro: Have you ever been to camp before? Well every year the year five’s and six’s have an opportunity to camp on school grounds, but this it wasn't just camp it was our 25th anniversary. This is how it went down. Paragraph:1 Did you know what camp is all about?Camp is all about having fun,but it started in 1991 which some of our parents came to this school. but this Paragraph 2: My favourite Activity was Kayaking because it was really fun I got to go on a boat with a teacher. but first miss garden was explaining the rules and she told us to get a life jacket. then I saw double kayak so I asked sulieti if she wants to go so then she say “yes” then we both went. back to shore and wanted for another kayak. Then Mr malone came in his boat and he asked me and cameo want to go with him. When I went on the boat and he asked me if I wanted to control the boat “ No thanks” but then he told me how to control it then I got the hang of it and then I said “cameo” do you want to have a try because I felt really scared controlling the boat. Paragraph:3  My Second favourite highlight was going to mangare pools because I went in the bombing pool and the slide. When I woke up We had go into the hall for jump jam then after we had go back and change into clothing that we haven't worn before and get ready for breakfast. Then after breakfast we had to go and clean out our tent and clean ourselves up. After that we took our bags into our teacher’s class I was in honest squad. My teacher was Miss Lavakula so we put our’s in her classroom. Finally we were on the bus ready to go. After that I finally got into the pool,When I jump in I felt so cold then i walked to my cousin Sabrina. After a while I started to get warm then the slide was open but I didn't want to go but then when I saw my friend in the line then that’s when I wanted to go. when I was in the line it started to go up quickly because people went into the big pool and swam in there. Finally it was my tun I grabbed a board and sat on it and it was so fun “ WHOOO”. then the bombing pool was open. I went to the bombing pool with my friends. It was my turn and I was so excited, but then I had a few bombs and then i felt so dizzy so I went and got changed. After all of the fun it was already time to go back to school. Conclusion:After mangere pools I felt so exhausted and sad because camp was over but I did look forward to kayaking and I loved just chilling in the hall with the Rollerblades and ridding. I hope the year 5 and 6s next year enjoy their camp.

Walt: to use a number line to solve tricky problems. Today I my task was to solve and practice activity but I thought it was going to be hard but I got the hang of it which is easy.

Today I have learned  i learned how to give people option to people like its  just like giving advice about rocket bottle. I think this would help me better in reading.

So you know how camp is tomorrow and I am looking forward to going so I have  visit Anna's blog because it had made me more excited because she has told me that there will be challenge and lots of fun activity. I look forward to camp because swimming, kayaking and the yum food.

My task was to tell advice to the audience and I tell them back some feedback.

Duffy show

Have you ever Heard or been to the Duffy Theatre? On  Monday Afternoon all the senior class went to the hall for the Duffy  Theatre. Just after the bell rang everyone came back to class and got ready to go straight to the hall. When we got there we sat in two lines,onced we sat down in our two lines.

While we were waiting for  the other class to settle down one of the actors came to us and asked us if we wanted to play a game so we said

“yes”,the game we played was simon says.When we played I won the whole round. After when everyone was settled the duffy show started.

The duffy show started on the count of three when we said “DUFFY” and the actors went and hid. Duffy came out he came with his books and his guitar and then he called his friends to come out and thats when they introduce themselves. and Then we sang the Duffy. Finally the show started, There was a girl called sienna and she didn't know how to read. Sienna sat and thats when

her mum comes out with her purse and she was stressed because she was looking for her keys and then Sienna ask her kara “Mum can you help me with my homework” and then Kara said “i'm sure you’ll figure it out you're are smart girl,”yea Figure it out to get another detention”.  

When She was walking to school it started to rain so she walked into the library and thought it was a toy store. When she was about to walk in she saw duffy issuing the books she thought it duffy’s rich because his library card was a visa card. Then she said “So you must be rich, “aye,”yea” with your visa card and books. So then Sienna thinks that he stole so then Duff says “No No NO This is a library. Sienna “Oo never mind. So then he said “WHAT” ,”yea I hate libraries”,Why”, Because I hate reading. Duffy was going to encourage Sienna to read, “hey sienna what’s your favourite colour? “Black like a tv. so then they started to ask sienna some questions. After they were asking sienna questions

duffy gave sienna a book to read and it was a harry potter book she read it and it was amazing but also so funny because Harry and this girl were squishing the plants and it made a lot of noise so they had to wear ear muffs to protect their ears from the sound. When sienna saw them she went and did it and thats when she took off her ear muffs and when sienna squished it it was really loud and I think my ears were saw just a bit. Then she said you must be the new girl then she started talking but I forgot what she said. Then she said she want another book which was a dinosaur one. Then duffy came and then they were reading the book. I felt like something funny was coming up soon then There were dinosaur that eat people then they saw the dinosaur and before ran because they needed to close the book before the dinosaur would eat them so then the story was in slow motion, finally they both reach to the book and close it. After that sienna’s mum came to look for her and said “there you are I have been looking for you, “ But mum I want to stay to read ,”sienna We have to go. Then duffy grab a book about fishing and Her mum then sighed a form to get a book after that they made a rap.
