Immersion assembly

Have you ever had a Immersion assembly? Instead of getting the principal's awards sticker we got  baked cookies, Sandwiches, and some other things with biscuits and marshmallow. If you were there or you were one of the students, teachers, or an adult who sits on the side you would’ve  gotten one.

Once  the second bell rang for school we all had to line up in our home classes. When we went to the school hall I saw some teachers like Mr Burt, Mr Jacobson, Mrs Nua and some of the prefects baking and cooking. They were making cream piculets and this kinda wierd thing that has two biscuits and some marshmallows but the order was biscuit, marshmallow and then one more biscuit on the top. But the year 1s gave us some carrots, celery with some dips.

When Mr Burt gave the microphone to Ana then we had to say the karakia. Once it had finished Every teams had to do there team Items, so it was time for team one. There item was all about healthy food, healthy playground and that we will not go to the dental clinic anymore. I think that I understand in the team ones slides is to keep healthy, have healthy food, and that our teeth will not come off and going to the dental clinic.

Now it is time for team twos item, I think that there item was all about building Eeyore a new kinda stick house. Miss Berry was Eeyore, Ms Eddie was Tigger, Mrs Nalder was the piglet, Mrs Rapoled was Winnie the pooh and then Mr barks was christopher robin.

If I was judging there video and if it was out of ten I would have gave them five the reason why I would have gave them five out of ten because they never played but only a little bit but it was mostly played on video slid. But I kind of liked it because they were wearing onesies while they were doing the play.

Mr Barks came to talk about his minion hovercraft and he chose Mr Sommerville because Mr Sommerville had a batman cave on. When Mr Barks chose Mr Sommerville he told him to sit on the hovercraft while Mr Barks was telling Mr Sommerville to sit on the hovercraft Mr Barks had a leaf blower and on that hovercraft there was kind of a medium circle. Mr Barks put the leaf blower inside that medium hole then he on it, Mr Sommerville started to kind of fly just a little bit. But it was kind of cool. I felt so exciting of seeing teachers act in a play I hope you enjoyed my writing.

christchurch earthquake

Nick is a young boy aged 11 and he lives in Australia. nick has a friend named matui and a older sister named Lisa. Nick has no expense of babysitting but his friend  has a baby brother or cousin.

Nick how do you feel about christchurch 2011 earthquake?

I really  feel sad because people got hurt and they really need help badly. Some people are really hurt badly and need real help “im serious”.

Nick what does an earthquake in your city mean to you?

Well I wouldn't be able to play my video games and there will be no power and I would be really sad because people got hurt and they really need help.

Nick would you react in an earthquake?

Well of course  it  would be horrified because no more video games and I would be worried about my family and friends. I would Drop cover as go under a table and hold on to the legs.

Our task was to interview about nick and ask him questions about the Christchurch earthquake it just the same as the nepal eathquake.

I’ve watched the news about it I really feel sorry so ill try my best to help them.

How do feel if there was an earthquake in your city?

I would feel sad because then I wouldn't be able to play my video games.

How can you help the people in nepal?

Our school can fundraise money like a bake sales,mufti,a bbq for a gold coin for a sausage sizzle

Mr Wise man has a newborn baby

Walt: write a lead paragraph of a news report      Teacher has a new born baby.      Mr Wiseman is a teacher in room one at Pt England School, Glen Innes Auckland. Mr Wiseman recently had newborn baby and her name is Ailah. He had his baby Ailah she was born last week on thursday. but since then he has been missing out on school and I would like to graduate him for his first baby.

On the 30th of april in auckland Pt England school 2015 Mr Goodwin the teacher of room 6 introduce to us  a new technology makemake kit. he  made a control with a makey makey Kit, and fruits and cables. Inside of the makey makey box was some wires, cables and a control set that you can make your own control.

Today I leared how to make a controler out of an makey makey kit. after making the contoler we went away and wrote a feew sentance. I learned about how write a lead paragraph of a news report.

Anzac Day

Today at assembly we never had a normal one we had a different one. The reason why we are celebrating it cause it is anzac day tommorow and it is also beacuse we want to repesent the peoples who died  for us. Did you know the enemy at gallopili wasn't the turks?

Immersion Assembly

Have you ever had free food in Assembly before? Today was the first day of term 2, we started off with an immersion Assembly like always. when we walked in assembly it was not just an immersion  assembly it was wired.

Reading Opinion Blue Penguin

 we were learning about blue penguins and we had to do presentation.  when I started I find it so hard but really at the end it was so easy.

Camp recount

Walt: organise my ideas into paragraphs and link them together. Intro: Have you ever been to camp before? Well every year the year five’s and six’s have an opportunity to camp on school grounds, but this it wasn't just camp it was our 25th anniversary. This is how it went down. Paragraph:1 Did you know what camp is all about?Camp is all about having fun,but it started in 1991 which some of our parents came to this school. but this Paragraph 2: My favourite Activity was Kayaking because it was really fun I got to go on a boat with a teacher. but first miss garden was explaining the rules and she told us to get a life jacket. then I saw double kayak so I asked sulieti if she wants to go so then she say “yes” then we both went. back to shore and wanted for another kayak. Then Mr malone came in his boat and he asked me and cameo want to go with him. When I went on the boat and he asked me if I wanted to control the boat “ No thanks” but then he told me how to control it then I got the hang of it and then I said “cameo” do you want to have a try because I felt really scared controlling the boat. Paragraph:3  My Second favourite highlight was going to mangare pools because I went in the bombing pool and the slide. When I woke up We had go into the hall for jump jam then after we had go back and change into clothing that we haven't worn before and get ready for breakfast. Then after breakfast we had to go and clean out our tent and clean ourselves up. After that we took our bags into our teacher’s class I was in honest squad. My teacher was Miss Lavakula so we put our’s in her classroom. Finally we were on the bus ready to go. After that I finally got into the pool,When I jump in I felt so cold then i walked to my cousin Sabrina. After a while I started to get warm then the slide was open but I didn't want to go but then when I saw my friend in the line then that’s when I wanted to go. when I was in the line it started to go up quickly because people went into the big pool and swam in there. Finally it was my tun I grabbed a board and sat on it and it was so fun “ WHOOO”. then the bombing pool was open. I went to the bombing pool with my friends. It was my turn and I was so excited, but then I had a few bombs and then i felt so dizzy so I went and got changed. After all of the fun it was already time to go back to school. Conclusion:After mangere pools I felt so exhausted and sad because camp was over but I did look forward to kayaking and I loved just chilling in the hall with the Rollerblades and ridding. I hope the year 5 and 6s next year enjoy their camp.
