Malo e lelei my name is Patricia I am 10 years old at Pt England school. I have two older brothers who are Eric and Kaleli  and two sisters Hainite and Jennifer. I'm the youngest in my family. I have always wanted to be an Ambassador because I love to meet new people and visitors. What I've got to be an Ambassador is confidence. If I become an Ambassador I would like to explore New Zealand. When I see visitors I always love to talk to them.

Learning at Pt England School has been a lot more easier because we all use Chromebooks and it has been a great way to learn new things,around the world. Each class have their own blogs. I have the skills for this job. If I became an ambassador I would like to represent PT England school. My favourite thing about learning is creating new presentations,Google docs,Google drawings and using other apps to share my learning.

Athletics Day.

This is Athletics my writing  that I was Working on all week and finally I've finished. 

Introduction: Have you ever did athletics before? On Friday last week It was our school athletics. Our whole school gathered on the hard courts. After that Mr Burt said the karakia. After the karakia Miss Va’afusuaga  dismissed us from each year group. Here,I was with the year 5 girls and Miss Ouano was our teacher. While I was walking to our first event, I was feeling very nervous.

When we walked over to our first activity which was shot put. We got split up into 2 groups,I was in the first group. I was up and shaking, “Does  if any one wants to come in front of me”? no one said yes. Its was my turn  I was so shy but when I  had a try and when I did,I sat in second place. After that the year 5 girls went over to Miss King and Ms Squires where they were in charge of high jump.

Once we arrived at High jump Miss King split us up into two groups. One blue and the other red. is blue and red. I liked the blue team because it is my house colour. Once it was my turn I ran but I didn't make it over the pole.When I got up I started laughing. When I looked over to the red team and the only person left  was Rima. All of the year 5 girls were watching her because she was the only one left.

My favourite activity was discus because at the end before we went to javelin we were dancing with Miss Tito and Mr Somerville.

Introduction :Use my brain, Use my heart, I'm going to be Cyber smart that is one of Pt England Schools Korero. I'm going explain to you what these mean in our school.

Use my brain: Use my brain is when you use your brain in every thing and do the right thing even online like your emails. For example:  when you email someone remember to use your manners and say hello and thank you. Remember use my brain is all about manners and doing the right thing online even on your emails.

Use my heart: It is always important to use your heart in everything and be brave and do your best at everything. using my heart is special because you could loving and caring for each other. using your heart is like digital footprints and creating a (D.L.O) Digital learning object. For Example: Use your heart in every thing like joining a test use your heart and give it 100 percent and take your time and check your work.

Cross Country 2014.

Paragraph 1: Have you ever did cross Country. before? Well on Thursday our school did cross country. and it was scary for me.I was feeling nervous when I was walking to the starting line. when Mr Burt said “on your marks, set go!” said Mr Burt. when I started to run I was feeling so scared.

Paragraph 2: AS I was running I started being nervous but when I got to Miss Lavakula I felt confident. I had to stop a couple of times because I had a stitch

and because I was tired. When I got outside of the gate I felt mud in my toes it was squishy and slimy. and it was a long. When I got to the playground I sprinted to the finished line.

Paragraph 3: I felt so tired and I enjoyed running because it was fun. I didn't enjoy the mud because it was going everywhere on me. Next time I hope to run without stopping and come first.

Today in C.R.E we were learning about Tabitha. Tabitha would send time being good and helping others. After that Mrs Clarke gave us a needle thread and we had to sew it. most of all I had fun. and my buddy was Daniella.

Today in C.R.E we were learning about Rapture Rucuks and our Role model. He travels around the  world and dose live performance and he raps and sings. He lives in Wellington and he learned how to play the drums when he was 4 or 3.  we had to trace our hand and write I am special no one is just like me. One of his song is I believe. here is a verse he said For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you,  plans to give you hope and a future.

Being a good role model

Today in C.R.E we learned about an athlete called Wynto Rufer he is competing as a football player. Before the end of C.R.E we did a balloon challenge which was you have to balance the balloon on your head and if you finished then put your hands behind your back. at the end Mrs Clarke told Lani and Martin to pop the balloon then it was time for her to go.

Punctuating a paragraph.

“Go” yelled Dad he was yelling at the T.V while watching the boxing during the Commonwealth Games. Dad was watching very intensely. David Nyika looked strong. boom his opponent was knocked to the ground. “Hooray” we all shouted David won Gold,  he is a champion Wow  thought I want to be a boxer when I grow up.

Lauren Boyle is an New Zealand athlete competing in the commonwealth games. She is only 26 years old and her sport she's  competing in is swimming. So far she has 1  gold and 1 silver and 0 bronze.Lauren has did so well in the commonwealth games and that is my hero.

Today in C.R.E we were learning about Peter Snell he is a athlete. Peter won 5 metal but he won 3 at Olympic and 2 at commonwealth. he likes to run from home to work and work back to home. if a thing is worth doing,  its worth doing well Peter Snell whatever you do, work at it with all your heart.. Paul (Colossians chapter 3 verse  23)

The commonwealth games are  also called friendly games. it is a multi sport that happens every four years and is hosted in different country around the world. in 2010 the games was held in Delhi India the next game in 2018 is going to be healed in gold coast Australia. the current game is hold in Glasgow Scotland an athlete from 71 nation are taking part.

Patricia Life Education Caravan.

P1 : Have you heard of the Life Education Caravan before?

Every year the Life Education Caravan always comes and teaches us about things like body parts. Last week on Tuesday me and my class went to the harold’s caravan. Our Teacher was Lynn,our last thing we learned about was five things that helps  our bodies to  grow.

P2:  Five things that we need to help our bodies grow are five or six cups of Water,Rest,Exercise,Food,and eight hours of sleep. People need to have at least five or more vegetable a day. When I saw Harold, in my head I was thinking he was just a puppet. Harold is kind,caring and smart giraffe.Lynn told us that Harold’s teacher gave him homework to do and if he doesn’t  do it then his teacher is going to eat him because the teacher is a lion.  

P3: At the end, Lynn gave harold books for us to take to learn more about the things we did in the caravan. I felt so excited and so happy to see Harold again. I look forward to seeing the Life Education Caravan next year.

Daniel lived in Israel and People from Babylon cam because there king Jehoiachim send his men to get men and this is what he said make sure that they are healthy,strong,and send them to university for 3 years. we had got given papers  that had a question on it . After all that it was time for mrs Clarke to go.

Today in C.R.E Mrs Clarke was talking about how king Saul was jealous  of David. Today in C.R.E we did a play called David and the Goliath. it was fun because we sang a song called my god is so big. in this story David has 7 older brothers and sisters, David was the youngest lived in Israel there biggest enemies were the philistines. the challenge was if Israel won then the philistines will be our slave but if we lose then we have to be philistines slaves. my favourite part of C.R.E was doing the play.

Who is my favorite family member?

Well mine is my older brother Eric. Eric is 19 years old and his favorite thing to do is Boxing. My brother boxes because my dad owns a boxing gym and it is called Rising Star Boxing Gym in Mangere. My brother does not have a job because he is too busy training for his next fight.

My brother is tall, handsome. Eric is Special to me because he is the best and he takes me to carls Jr.

Well that is a ship that had crashed into an iceberg on April 10th, 1912. There were 705 people that survived. The  captain of the ship was Edward smith. The company that built the ship was Harlan and Wolff in Belfast, Ireland

C.R.E Our second lesson.

In C.R.E today we sang a song called woopah wahey. Mrs Clarke said the prayer for us. We made a scripture with a paper and sticks, with a verse. then we talk about the bible and how many verse she said there was 66. then it was time for Mrs Clarke to go.

I Love my Shopping Days.

Start Here: In the Holidays Me and my mum woke up at 9:00am because we went to my Nana and papa’s house. When I got in the car so excitedly I couldn't wait to go shopping with my mum,me and my Nana. My sister Hainite and Jennifer really wanted to come but they  overslept. Finally we got to  my Nana's,papas house. we went to Pak N Save to get some shopping.

When I got in I waited so we can go to the lolie block so I could get it.

When it was time to go to the checkout I went by myself because I had my own money. As soon as we got home and I quickly ran upstairs because it was time to do chores. When I went upstairs my mum had  called me to come and do the dishes.

When I had finished  I went outside to my friends and we played with the basketball on the courts. After all that playing mum had called me to go and have a shower and go sleep for church. I really look forward to do something better next time like Rainbows End.

Fiafia 2014

Paragraph One:

Introduction

When I got to Fiafia  I felt excited to be there and It smelled yummy but I had to go to my changing room. As I walked in I was so excited then we had to put on our costume.all  our costume were all  the same  and same material. when I was putting on my costume I kinda got stuck putting it on but luckily someone came and help me.

Paragraph Two:

My favourite performance was the Cook Islands because Mata was doing the hula fast. and also because Michelle was hulaing fast as well with some of the Juniors little girls. but most of all was Mata.

Now that Fiafia is over I feel bored. Next time I am hoping to still stay in Tongan girls.

Why it is Important to learn swim?

Do you know how to swim? learning how to swim is important. there  are lots of reasons why and I will explain three of them  to you.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Paragraph Two:

One  of the reason why its important to learn how to swim is so you don’t drown and because new Zealand is surrounded  by waters. new Zealand has one of the  worst  drowning rates in the world. twenty five percent of children age 0- 10  don’t know how to swim.   

Paragraph Three:

New Zealand is a small country that is surrounded by water lakes,rivers,beaches and pools.

Conclusion:

Learning how to swim is important in New Zealand.  Some adults and their children don’t know how To  swim because they have never been to a swimming pool or contact a local swimming pool and ask to take swimming  Lessons.
